FAQ

Questions on the trail

A few of the things people ask before they lace up. If you’re wondering about something else, just ask in the form below.

How fit do we need to be?
We design each outing around your group. If you’re brand-new to hiking or at higher altitude, we’ll keep things mellow. If you love a good climb, we’ll lean into that. You’ll never be pushed beyond what you’re comfortable with.
What should we bring?
We’ll send a season-specific packing list, but generally: comfy closed-toe shoes, layers, water, sun protection, and any personal snacks. In winter, warm socks, gloves, and a hat are key. We can provide snowshoes and poles upon request.
Can kids join?
Yes! Many of our favorite routes are very kid-friendly. Let us know their ages and hiking comfort so we can pick trails with the right distance and terrain.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Mountain weather changes quickly, and we keep a close eye on conditions. If it’s unsafe (lightning, extreme cold, high winds), we’ll reschedule or adjust the route. Light snow or showers can make for magical outings—we’ll chat about options together.
